As a queer, agender 19-year-old, Wycoff Higgins wants to connect with other young people about their journey. They volunteer as a public speaker as part of San Jose’s LGBTQ Youth Space Speakers Bureau which visits schools and other organizations to get the word out about difference and acceptance. “Not all queer people look the same!” reminds Wycoff. “It’s pretty awesome, being alive and being queer!”
