Santa Rosa Fire Department is emphasizing there is no threat to and no evacuation orders for the City of Santa Rosa.

Forward progress has been stopped on a fast-moving vegetation fire that broke out just after 1 p.m. It prompted evacuation orders for a remote zone, SON-3H3.

The Santa Rosa Fire Department says it is "still hard at work assisting CALFIRE LNU” with the Ledson fire, located north of highway 12 and east of Pythian Road, near the Ledson Winery in Kenwood.

Forward progress was stopped around 3:15 p.m. Air and ground resources are making progress working in steep terrain. Fire crews are working on boxing in the fire with retardant.

The size of the fire is now estimated at approximately 13 acres.

The Santa Rosa Fire Department is emphasizing there is no threat to and no evacuation orders for the City of Santa Rosa. And that Santa Rosa residents are urged not to call 911 about this incident.
